WHAT TO DO WITH KIDS IN SEATTLE - Tips from a Family and Newborn Photographer

Living outside of a major city offers lots of activities on those weekends when you just don’t feel like lounging around at home. My family and I live just outside of the city so it’s easy for us to visit whenever we’re in the mood to see one of Seattle’s many museums or enjoy the restaurant scene.

Recently we visited the Museum of Pop Culture, better known as MoPop. Favorites for our gang included Fantasy Worlds of Myth and Magic, Guitar Gallery and Disney’s Heroes & Villains, which wowed us with a display of costumes worn in several Disney movies.

We’re big fans of undersea life and the Seattle Aquarium is a must-do whenever we’re in the city. The fairly compact size is appealing for parents of younger kids. There’s a hands-on area where kiddos can touch prickly sea urchins and other creatures, and outdoor exhibits to check out as well.

If there’s time on your trip, be sure to visit Pike Place Market where you can spend the rest of your day grabbing a snack and strolling passed food, drink and crafts vendors of all kinds!
